Facilitation Services

Together we can develop better meetings and group dynamics!

Current offerings:

We are currently offering free initial conversations:

  • Ask us a question about how to handle a particular group dynamic or how to structure a gathering to best meet your goals

  • Talk through how best to deal with ugly or unproductive meetings

  • Explore how our facilitation services might help your group, organization or business.

We love a good puzzle, and are happy to imagine together how you (or we) might create better conversations, more productive collaborations and more supportive group cultures. Contact us today to get started!

What do we mean by “facilitation”?

Facilitation can mean a lot of different things.

For us, facilitators are people who help make having good conversations easier … whether that’s by running a public meeting or forum, helping a group come to shared understandings or solve problems, or getting through a packed agenda in a good way.

As outsiders, we can focus less on specific content or individual positions, and instead use our energy and skills to balance participation, help handle strong emotions, invite different perspectives and manage processes in ways that fit the situation.

Better Facilitation Worlds

We believe in collaboration, the idea that when people come together with good will, they can come up with better ways of being together and achieve better outcomes.

We have seen that good facilitation can:

  • help people feel heard and held in tough and complex situations

  • create space for more creative and meaningful discussions

  • build mutual understanding and be the basis for mutually satisfactory group agreements

  • help develop sustainable, supportive and productive group cultures.

You don’t have to go it alone, and things can get better!

Simple or complex situations:

Sometimes people contact us with a ready-made agenda and clear purpose, with everyone fully supporting the participation of outside facilitators - and we’re happy to do that kind of work.

But often, it can be helpful to work together on designing your meeting and event. Use our expertise to develop plans that meet your goals and encourage full participation.

And sometimes groups considering using outside facilitators have a longer-term, more challenging situation they’re trying to deal with. We are happy to work with you to design a multi-stage, more complex facilitation plan to improve the situation over time.

NEXT STEPS?

The best place to start is a free discovery call.

Help us understand your goals (what do you want to see change), your context (what’s leading you to think that this kind of activity makes sense now, who do you think should be involved), and what resources you hope we’ll bring to this together (how much time or budget is available, what kind of commitment are you looking for from us).
